For this large work I coloured and printed sheets of copper. I then cut these sheets into lots of small circles. These were then, like sequins, attached to a piece of felt.
Voor dit grote werk heb ik een aantal vellen koper bewerkt door ze te patineren met kleur en (zeef)druk. Uit de vellen koper heb ik vervolgens met behulp van een sjabloon heel veel rondjes geknipt. Vervolgens heb ik deze rondjes, als lovertjes, vastgezet op een grote lap vilt.
Here I applied the same technique, but on a very small scale.

I made a series called ‘more or less’; these are just some examples of them.
For this series again I cut little circles from patinated sheets of copper. Using a small bowl I shaped these cirles of metal into little cups. These were then knotted together into flexible works.

Voor deze serie heb ik ook weer rondjes geknipt uit gepatineerde kopervellen. Met behulp van een klein schaaltje heb ik de rondjes metaal tot kleine cups gevormd en die vervolgens aan elkaar geknoopt tot flexibele werken.
I challenged myself to make something out of concrete, but it still had to have a link to textiles.
For pouring the concrete I made molds and on the inside coated these with wrinkled plastic. This gave the pieces a textile-like texture. For the small squares I made molds using card that I’d stitched with thread.
Ik had mezelf uitgedaagd iets van beton proberen te maken, dat toch nog steeds een link met textiel zou hebben.
Voor het gieten van deze objecten maakte ik mallen en bekleedde deze met gekreukeld plastic. Hierdoor ontstond een rimpelige textielachtige textuur. Voor de vierkante blokjes gebruikte ik malletjes die ik had gemaakt van met garen bestikt karton.
